Born on this day in 1866 Beatrix Potter was an English writer, illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist.

She is best known for her book "the Tale of Peter Rabbit."

I remember my mom reading her books when my sister and I were little. My little sister's room theme was Peter Rabbit. Potter's books bring back great memories from my childhood.
