Dual credit students have access to the full range of library resources offered.
To check out books from the Ranger College Library, use your Ranger College student ID as your library card. To search for books, use the Online Catalog. Books check out for two weeks, at which time you may either renew them or return them. Overdue book fines are 10 cents a day per book.
Browse the library web pages and library guides to learn all that is available through your library.
Print Book Collection
Distance Education students can use the Online Catalog to search for print books in the Ranger College Library collection.
Distance education students may use the TexShare Library card to borrow materials from libraries participating in TexShare (a resource sharing program among public colleges, private colleges, universities and public libraries in Texas, designed to improve library services to Texans.) List of participating libraries can be found at https://www.tsl.texas.gov/texshare/libsearch/index.php. TexShare cards may be requested by emailing Brandi Faulkner. In the subject line of your email, put “student TexShare Card request.” and include mailing information and student ID information.
TexShare cards expire after one year, so students must request a new one each year.

InterLibrary Loan (ILL)
Students who need books or articles that the library does not own may request those items through InterLibrary Loan. We will find another library who does have the item and request to borrow it for you. The process takes from 5-10 days since the items ship through the mail. The service is free unless the lending library charges; in some instances, a fee for access or shipping may be required. If there is a charge, you have the option to delete the request before they send it.
Place InterLibrary Loan requests at the circulation desk of the library, call us at 254-647-1414or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
