World Folktale Day is a time to enjoy old stories from around the world.

These tales have been told for many years and passed down from one person to another.

Funk & Wagnalls Standard Dictionary of Folklore, Mythology, and Legend: This big book is full of stories, people and creatures. Twelve major religions have been included in this book because each religion creates its own culture. Their goal was to fit everything they could into one big book.

Faeries by Brian Froud and Alan Lee: This one is filled with drawings and stories about faeries and magical creatures. Some are sweet and some are a little spooky.

A Treasury of Western Folklore by B.A. Botkin: This book is filled with American stories. Funny, spooky, and everything in between. It includes ghost stories, songs, and cowboy legends.

Come visit us at the library and celebrate World Folktale Day with these amazing books!
