March Madness Challenge!

Today the brackets have been set and teams have been distributed.  Below you will find a list of participants and the teams they received.  Teams were assigned to players using a random number generator. Each participant received 2 teams listed below.

Games begin this coming Thursday with play-in games set for Tuesday and Wednesday.

As a reminder, the rules are as follows:
Each player will receive 2 teams (1 team from the East/West tournament and 1 team from the South/Midwest tournament ) chosen at random from a hat.  This will create 2 mini tournaments.  Each tournament game is a head-to-head matchup between two individuals.  The point spread, coupled with the final score, determine the winner.  For example:

If Player A has North Carolina (a #2 seed hypothetically) and Player 2 has Coastal Carolina (a 12 seed hypothetically). If the point spread says UNC is a 12-point favorite then UNC must win by 13 points (beating the spread) in order for Player A to advance.  Because Coastal Carolina is the underdog they simply have to win for Player B to advance.  If UNC wins but does not cover the spread then Player A loses and Player B advances with UNC.  In essence B steals A's team.

I will be sending out updates via email every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning in order to list the day's matchups and the previous day's winners.  If you are eliminated I will remove you from the email updates unless you reply telling me specifically to keep you updated.
