Library Blogs

A landing page with information about all the library blogs.

Ranger College Library has a lot of information to share.  Most of it can be found through the homepage, but some things change a lot and we keep you informed through our blogs.  Here is a brief overview and links so you can subscribe.

What about AI? – Artificial Intelligence is the major concern of this era.  What are we supposed to do with it?  How do we use it?  What is acceptable use for students?  What AI should you choose?  On a weekly basis, Librarian Helen Cozart explores these subjects and more from a student and faculty usage perspective.

What to do this weekend – We have been offering the What to do this Weekend website for five years here at the Library.  Every week we post activities and events happening within a three hour radius of the college.  Everyone needs to get out and do something once in a while and this is meant to provide ideas and opportunities.  If I had it my way we would explore some place new every weekend.  The website has to be visited.  The blog comes to you on Monday mornings so you can start thinking about the coming weekend.

Library news – This is the Library broad-view blog.  Here you will find discussions on life, the universe, and everything.  Ok, well, at least you can find out what is happening at the library and enjoy articles about the ever-changing calendar of the world.  Did you know July 29th is Lasagna Day?  Or that October 8th is Take Your Parents to Lunch Day?  Around here, we celebrate December 10th – Dewey Decimal System Day (or maybe we celebrate because the last day of school always falls right around then).

As always, we are here to serve you.  If there is a topic you want to see covered, one of our blogs will fit it.  Just let us know.
