Hello. I am Helen Cozart
My goal as the assistant librarian is to create an environment students want to come to. I want to make learning not just accessible for everyone, but pleasurable as well. The feeling we experience when we successfully accomplish something is readily available in a library at all stages of assignments. When students know how to find the information they are looking for, apply that information to their problem, and submit quality work that results in high grades they have multiple successes. That sets them up for future successes. Likewise, not providing the tools they need sets them up for failure. That should never happen.
I will always be ready to help.
I will always be ready to teach.
I will always be ready to learn.
About Me
I spent twenty years in the US Army as an intelligence analyst before retiring to become a History professor. With a two-hour commute to Dallas College, I spent my spare time looking for a position closer to home. I was fortunate enough to find an opening at the Ranger College Library that suited me perfectly and have been happily here ever since. It did not take long to realize that to really help students, the library was the place to be. In my spare time I managed to raise four sons and I like to pretend I am a writer. Someday that will actually be true.
