Resource Sharing and Interlibrary Loan Policy
Golemon library participates in ILL through the resource sharing program of the TSLAC. Requests for materials from other libraries can be made through the website or with forms available at the circulation desk. Tarleton University in Stephenville, a forty-minute drive, allows RC students full access to materials. As a TexShare, member we can create a TexShare card for our registered members that allows you to use all other TexShare libraries in Texas. Almost all libraries are included in the program
It is Golemon Library’s policy to fulfill requests from other libraries within 24 hours. We will ship any physical item, but at the present time that includes only books. We do not carry videos or periodicals. Interlibrary loan items are checked out for four weeks from the date of shipping. We do not have a limit on the number of materials that can be borrowed. Interlibrary loan items are shipped through USPS. Only items requested through ShareIT and can be tracked through TexShare are loaned.
Items from our special collections are not available for loan, even to local residents, but we are happy to scan a few pages and email them. Please contact a librarian directly to coordinate. Fragility may be an issue.
