“The mission of Ranger College is to transform lives and give students the skills to be a positive influence in their communities.”

Golemon Library Policies

Conservation Policy

Golemon Library considers itself the repository for Ranger College's history and memorabilia.  As such we have a duty to protect that history and memorabilia in whatever form we receive it.  We are also committed to making our historical documents available to locals, alumni, researchers, and anyone else with an interest.  This dual role often includes converting printed documents to digital.

In addition to Ranger College’s history, our commitment to the local community entails being a repository for local historical items and supporting local historical groups in their endeavors to provide information to the general public.  We work closely with the Ranger Historical Preservation Society and the Roaring Ranger Oil Boom Museum, protecting the documentary heritage of our town and county.

The Ranger College Library provides support structure, including listing RHPS genealogical materials as a special collection of our library, allowing the contents of the genealogical library to be accessible through our general search.

At this time, all Ranger College Memorabilia and historical documents are received during regular business hours.  Because Ranger College is a non-profit, your donation may qualify for a tax deduction. You may complete our Donation Form if you would like verification of your donation.

We also accept items for loan.  If you have documentary memorabilia, we will be happy to scan it and return it to you.  Depending on the size of the collection, we may be able to process it while you wait, but we will need to assess each contribution independently.  Non-paper loan items are only accepted for specific activities, such as inclusion in an exhibit or as part of an event.

Donations related to the community, especially the oil boom era, can be processed through the Ranger Historical Preservation Society.  They have multiple projects, including providing new exhibits for the Roaring Ranger Museum, and will be able to determine the best placement for your historical objects.  You may still bring them to the library.  We will look at it and identify the best person for you to contact.  General RHPS contact information is rhps1990@protonmail.com.

We are specifically looking for yearbooks from the following years:

1928                                       1934                                       1941
