FAQ

We know you already looked in the most likely place for the answer to your question, so questions that are answered on the homepage are not included here.   These are the questions we really are most frequently asked.

How do I print?

You have to be on one of the library computers to print.  It often works best to email the document to yourself then open your email on one of the library computers.  Choose Library A or Library B.

When is my stuff due back?

Everything that is checked out of the library is due back on the last Thursday of the semester.  Return anything you have after your last final and you will be fine.

What are the Cafeteria hours?

Monday – Thursday

    Breakfast:      7:00 AM – 8:30 AM

    Lunch:            11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

    Dinner:           6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Friday

    Breakfast:      7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

    Lunch:            12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

    Dinner:           5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Saturday and Sunday-

    Breakfast:      Not served

    Lunch:            12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

    Dinner:           5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Where do I go to take a proctored test?

We do not proctor tests in the library.  Please go to SSS.  SSS is in the Business building, near the Welding shop.  Their hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

How do I return rented textbooks?

Rented textbooks go back to the bookstore in the Caf building.  If you return rented text books to the library, we do not know who they belong to, so you will not get credit at the bookstore and may be billed.

Where do I get my dorm and ID?

Mrs. Kathy Lucky (klucky@rangercollege.edu) is the person to see for both.  Her office is in the library building, near the auditorium.  Her hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 to 5:00, Friday 8:00 to 1:00.

How do I get tutoring?

Tutoring is done through SSS and HSI.  SSS is in the Business building, near the Welding shop.  Their hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  HSI is located at the back of the library.  Their hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 to 5:00, Friday 8:00 to 1:00.  There is often an HSI tutor hanging out in the library waiting for you.  If you just drop in, you will probably get lucky.  You can be sure by scheduling an appointment for tutoring with this QR code:

 

How do I get my mail?

Patrice Tyson (ptyson@rangercollege.edu) manages the mailboxes.  Visit her in the Welcome Center.  If you already have a mailbox, they are located in the library building.  Drop by and we will help you open it, if you need help.
