Paperbacks
Most Robert E. Howard works have been published numerous times as standalone novels or in collections. In addition to that, many authors have taken up the mantle of continuing the sagas of his most popular characters. Since his death in 1939, hundreds of works have been published in paperback format. The ones in our collection are shown below.
They are broken into two large categories: Conan and not Conan. The not Conan section is generally organized first by hero by the first word in the hero’s name/title then alphabetically. Books with no specific hero or only one book with a hero are after the groups. The books of short stories are at the end since most of them encompass multiple heroes.
As you browse, you may notice many with the same title and even covers that look similar. Because it matters to researchers, we have included an entry for each edition. The publisher and year are included with the information to help distinguish them. We do have multiple copies of some items, and that is indicated as well.
All the paperbacks are in copyright so the most we can provide are copies of the front and back matter. There are notes indicating if there is anything unique about a specific book, such as a signature or hand-written comments. We can provide those types of ephemera by request.
